Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial arts artist, and is a competitor within the UFC flyweight division. She's older than fellow UFC Fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport began with her debut as an Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title and later defeated Suzane Mller in a unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko took home a second silver medal in 2007, with a bronze award in 2008. She also won winning gold in 2011 and won the title of 2015 IFMA World Amateur Muay Thak Champion. Antonia's professional career began in 2003. In 2012 she won an event called the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship In 2016, she won she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's final bout took place in the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. It was an unanimous decision to win. Antonina Shevchenko shattered her debut professional MMA record at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She won via TKO in the second and continued to beat her 2 next fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships, 2003. This gave her the record of 3-0 in MMA. Shevchenko had a short break from MMA for a time to focus on boxing. She made her return to fight Anissa Haddaoui on Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui by a unanimous decision. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, by unanimity. In 2018, she left the competition and began competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's prodigious strike abilities allowed her to TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. After this win, Antonina received an UFC deal. Antonina took part in her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was defeated by Roxanne Modafferi via split decision following her debut fight. Antonina recovered from this loss after defeating Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler via a rear-naked choke submission. It earned her the fight-of-the-night bonus. Shevchenko lost to Katlyn Cookagian, but she defeated Ariane Lipski's three bouts. Recently, Antonina suffered defeat to Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos vs. Walker via second-round TKO.
