Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents, May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to take up music more as a hobby as a career. As a result, she began writing her own music. Her inspirations include famous writer Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan, as well as her affinity with Bjork's style. After her mom informed her that her music can not only aid in her efforts to gain fame, however, they could also help others understand their value in the world and realize what can be done with them, she decided to begin singing in public. The piano was her first instrument, at six. She started creating music after turning nine. Her family didn't hear about it until she turned fourteen. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. She claims that she loves writing music. For her, music is the best method of feeling anything.
